Maryland PSC prohibits utility service shut-offs through Nov. 15, 2020. Utility shut-offs in Maryland now prohibited through 11/15/2020. This is something North Dakota does as well Roy Kelley and for good reason. I can not imagine going through a winter without heat and water. That being said I also believe the companies deserve to be paid back at some point. To many people "game" the system.

We have the same here in NC, Roy, but I don't know the dates. We pay our utility bill on time so have no clue about how long our protections will last.

We have similar prohibitions here in California as well.  I've continued to be able to pay my bills, and I'm feeling blessed that I can.  I'm glad there is assistance for those in more a difficult situation.
