Private schools closed until October 1

Montgomery County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles issued a press release July 31 prohibiting all private schools in the area from re-opening for in-person instruction until October 1.

The directive is effective immediately. Anyone who violates the order will be guilty of a misdemeanor and be charged up to a year in prison, a fine not more than $5,000, or both.

The decision will be re-evaluated prior to October 1.

Montgomery County Public Schools has already decided to continue with virtual instruction until January 2021.

Good morning Roy. Can't go to church and can't go to school but peaceful protests that turn into riots are tolerated. Local political leadership has not a clue! Enjoy your day!
