Crocus, Kentlands Photowalk, Gaithersburg, Maryland USA IMG_4667
I posted this photograph in Facebook groups this morning. Crocus blooms are among the first signs of spring in our community.
Subhash Sharma This beautiful blue Crocus (English plural: crocuses or croci) belong to a genus of flowering plants in the iris family comprising 90 species of perennials growing from corms. Many are cultivated for their flowers appearing in autumn, winter, or spring. Crocuses are native to woodland, scrub, and meadows from sea level to alpine tundra in central and southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, on the islands of the Aegean, and across Central Asia to Xinjiang Province in western China.
Mr. Sharma is a Facebook friend in Ireland. He frequently comments on my photographs as I post them on Facebook.

I'm sitting here trying to read blogs with one eye slammed shut. I had an accident with my bike today, Anyway, I thought the first word of your title line was "Circus" instead of "Crocus."
CONGRATULATIONS Roy, on having this blog FEATURED in the PHOTOS group!
Great photo.
