New Gaithersburg Police Station and Council Chambers

A vacant building at 16 S. Summit Ave. is set to become a brand new, state of the art police station for the Gaithersburg Police Department. It will also house new meeting chambers for the Mayor and City Council. At their meeting on February 3, the Mayor and City Council approved resolutions that allow the construction of this nearly 44,000 square foot facility to move forward. If all goes as scheduled, construction should be complete by summer of 2021. Updates will be available on the City's project page once things get underway.

This is a City of Gaithersburg, Maryland announcement.

I am sure they will really enjoy their new facility and hopefully, it will allow them to better protect and serve the citizens.
