When I posted this photograph on Facebook, one of my Facebook friends in Ireland left the following comment.

Subhash Sharma This bright looking Begonia belongs to the genus Begoniaceae along with Hillebrandia, a species unique to Hawaii. "Begonia" acts as the common name for all members of this genus that has over 1,500 species. Common colours for begonias include yellow, white, pink and scarlet.French botanical patron by the name Charles Plumier coined the name Begoniaceae for this genus. It pays tribute to a former governor of the colony of Haiti, Michel Bégon. Bégon recommended Plumier to King Louis XIV as an official plant collector, for which Plumier promised him immortalized in a plant's name. With this in mind, begonias represent gratitude or sly enticement. One of it’s cultivars 'Kimjongilia' from this group is a floral emblem of North Korea.

'In Gaithersburg's Kentlands Neighborhood, 'New Urbanism' in Full Flower'

Kentlands is known for being a tight-knit and great community to live in. The Washington Post agrees. Check out the article here!

I love begonias and have a number of them in my yard.  Today, it is in the upper 60s here in Sacramento.  The sun is out.  I can't help but think about working in my yard again!

Lovely flowers, begonia, Roy... as is your photo. Unfortunately, never had any success with them in my garden.
