Recovery Month in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Substance use disorders affect people from all walks of life. By proclaiming September as Recovery Month in Gaithersburg, the Mayor and City Council are celebrating those in recovery and making resources available to those seeking a way forward. Recovery Month is especially important at Wells/Robertson House. In operation since 1989, Gaithersburg's transitional program for homeless men and women has helped more than 700 people on their path to recovery. Planned activities include an employee open house, a community picnic and resource fair, a Wells graduation ceremony, and a family dinner.

This is a City of Gaithersburg announcement.

Recovery Month is especially important to people who have a loved one in recovery.
