Peonies, Kentlands Photowalk, Gaithersburg, Maryland

We have a rainy Sunday afternoon in Maryland and we are at home. I received many positive comments when I posted this photograph in Facebook groups. It was taken in in home garden. Peonies provided the cut flowers for our home for several weeks. The season is over for our peonies and we will have to count on photographs until next year.

Have an outstanding week.

I love peonies - one flower which the deer do not eat in Central Oregon!

My mother often raised peonies.  And, she seemed especially fond of those in the hue pictured!

They are a delightful looking flower Roy. Until next year when they bloom again, but sure you have other blooms ready for their summer entry.

Roy, I once had peonies surrounding one of my homes, a large 3 story Victorian home.  I will always remember the border bed of these peonies.  They were so lovely and only made me sad because the blossoming season was way too short.

Lovely peonies - they are very pretty and delicate, but I recall they are very hardy.
