Available today!!! This new "Forever" stamp from the US Postal Service features our very own Sugarloaf Mountain in Maryland. Originally created for the Rockville Post Office, the mural can be found in what is now the Rockville City Police Department. It is part of a series of 10 stamps celebrating post office murals from the 1930s and 40s. (Photos courtesy USPS)


Sugarloaf Mountain is a small mountain and park about 10 miles south of Frederick, Maryland, USA. The closest village is Barnesville, located just over one mile from the foot of the mountain. The peak of this relatively low mountain is approximately 800 feet higher than the surrounding farmland. Wikipedia
