Finding Cats Forever Homes in Gaithersburg, Maryland

When your family needs a cat or kitten, you should visit the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County at 12 Park Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877. Click on the link to visit the website and see photographs of currently available cats and kittens.

The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County was founded in 2005 and moved to its beautiful home in downtown Gaithersburg, Maryland in 2011. In this homey atmosphere, our rescued cats live in their own furnished rooms with screened doors and much enrichment and care to ensure they are healthy and happy. We also always have a special cat who is given the run of the house. Our goal is to rescue strays and give-ups from high-kill shelters in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area and then foster them for a period to ascertain their health and get them the medical support they need such as neutering, shots, medicines and love. Then, they come to AWLMC Shelter and await their forever homes with you.

Good morning, Roy... you have my appreciation forever for this post. As you know, not only do I love, love, love cats... I am a huge supporter of the shelter adoption cause for both cats and dogs. My beloved Oliver came from a shelter 13 years ago. And now my Mr. Marlow also came to me from the same shelter after Oliver passed away. And is he not simply too handsome for words?

Good morning Roy. With so many animals: cats and dogs being killed in shelters adoption is the way to have a new fur friend. Your cat?

Roy Kelley - This sounds like the perfect place to go to rescue a cat that deserves a good home. I love this part of your content: "rescued cats live in their own furnished rooms with screened doors and much enrichment and care..."

Although we bought Quincy because of our preference for Abyssinian cats, we do support our local non-kill shelter.  It is a state of the art shelter with an enclosed outdoor area with trees to climb and  places to sunbathe.  A

What a cute kittie that is pictured there, Roy!  I'd adopt it if my cat Reuben would let me.  But, I'm pretty sure he'd divorce me if I did.

Roy what a great post and hope it generates  many volunteers to foster and rescue... as to Barbara Todaro  we have three scratching posts and guess what none of our furniture get damaged...then to boot we clip their nails just like humans... Endre
