Maryland Blogger: Gaithersburg Small Cell Antenna Regulations

Gaithersburg Small Cell Antenna Regulations

Gaithersburg Small Cell Antenna Regulations

At their meeting on March 4, the Mayor and City Council adopted amendments to previously adopted Rights-of-Way regulations that affect Small Cell Antenna installations. The amendments, which mainly have to do with changes in technology impacting the size, materials and location of such installations, were considered in response to recent FCC rulings and requests from industry providers.

With regulations now in place, template franchise and master license agreements will be considered at the March 18 Mayor and City Council meeting. Keep up with this issue here.

This is a City of Gaithersburg, Maryland announcement.

Ah, technology.  Advancements call for continuing thoughts on usage, and the infrastructure to support it.
