March in the Gaithersburg St. Patrick's Day Parade

March in the Gaithersburg St. Patrick's Day Parade

Gaithersburg's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade winds its way through lively crowds that pack the sidewalks of Rio Washingtonian Center. If you are part of a club, civic organization, school or other community group, we invite you to join in. There'll be bagpipers, Celtic dancers, clowns, equestrian units, antique cars ... and maybe you!

The 19th annual parade takes place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. Applications are due February 11. Click here for details.

This is a City of Gaithersburg, Maryland announcement.

Your tulip picture this morning, Roy, is amazing. Hope the St Patrick's Day parade in Gaithersburg is well attended... hard to believe it's only a month away.

St. Patrick's Day is always fun, I have to remember to wear green, so that I don't get pinched, haha.

The countdown clocks are running in all the Irish taverns in town for this year's St. Patrick's Day festivities.

Ahhh, color!  I wish we had some of that here in cold, icey, snowing WI!

That is something I have never done so I guess I need to put that on my must list.

Hard to believe St Paddy's Day will be here soon. Looking forward to get outside and hitting the trails more often.  Sounds like more winter for you too.

(By the way, thanks for the Robin watch suggestion - it's a good one. I did see a number of them hopping around in the snow yesterday. It was a bit incongruent. ) :)

I was just sitting here thinking.  I have never marched in a parade.  I've sat on the sidelines and watched many of them though.
