Maryland Blogger: Kentlands in the Snow

Kentlands in the Snow

Kentlands in the Snow

These photographs were taken seven years ago but provide a reminder of how things may look in Kentlands by the end of this weekend. I have an extra snow shovel if you would like to drop by.

For out of the area readers, Kentlands is a planned community located within the City of Gaithersburg in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland. Kentlands is one of the favorite areas for families relocated to the Metro Area of Washington, DC.

Truthfully Roy, I'd love to come shovel snow with you. Not only do I love snow, but I know, first hand, what a great workout you get when shoveling a drive way.  My son, in Juneau AK has been using a plow on his truck. He's had to plow four times since yesterday. They had a huge dump of snow - even cancelled school yesterday for the first time in 8 years. You know it's a big snow day when it impacts Alaskans. :)

I remember shoveling snow in Minnesota, and would certainly enjoy it doing it once or twice.  A

These are beautiful photos.  Stay warm and dry this weekend.

I imagine you making up some of your favorite food and drink recipes and enjoying any snow days that come your way.  Happy New Year!

Although I am not a snow or cold weather person, snow is an example of purity and I do get fascinated as it falls.

I love your photos of Kentlands in the winter, however I do not envy all the snow.  I’ll stick with my PNW rain!

From the sounds of it, I'll bet someone takes you up on the snow shovel offer, Roy! What absolutely gorgeous pictures - oh, how I love the snow!

Gorgeous pictures, Roy... but I'm very happy not to need to think about shoveling all that snow.

Good morning Roy.  Sounds like a good day to stay inside and read a good book or two.

If I knew the planes were safe to fly, I would come there and help you shovel if Delores would have a come hot choco with schnapps in it  lol.

Those are delightful looking Kentlands photos, Roy.  I especially like the pictures that have the colorful flags creating accents.

Just a reminder if you are out shoveling snow: ❄Take it slow & take frequent breaks to avoid overexertion. ❄Dress to avoid hypothermia & frostbite. ❄Please keep snow clear from fire hydrants. ❄Help out any neighbors who you know may need assistance. Be safe out there !
