I took this photograph during the annual Chrysanthemum Festival at Longwood Gardens. It has generated a very positive response on several Facebook groups.

This morning, I mentioned that I had a medical appointment. I went to The Retina Group of Washington at their Rockville office for my annual eye exam. The doctor I see and recommend is T. Mark Johnson, M.D. I have a macular pucker and a slight cataract that they are watching but the results from today indicate that my condition has not changed and surgery is not yet recommended.

A macular pucker is scar tissue that has formed on the eye's macula, located in the center of the light-sensitive tissue called the retina. The macula provides the sharp, central vision we need for reading, driving, and seeing fine detail. A macular pucker can cause blurred and distorted central vision. - National Eye Institute.

Good to  hear they don't recommend surgery at this point. Although, they sure do have it down with the laser technology. Have a great day, Roy. D

I wonder how that blossom knew it needed to be gorgeous so bees would come and help pollinate its friends?

Simply stunning, Roy... the shape, the color! Would love a yard full of those, myself! (So long as I didn't have to do the planting myself!)

Roy Kelley - I like how you captured all the details in that beautiful Chrysanthemum. The color is so vivid.

I'm glad your eye doctor appointment went well and that the doctor is going to keep checking. May you always have eyes to see, feet to walk, hands to touch, a nose to smell, teeth to chew, and a good life with Dolores.
