Gaithersburg Internet Purchase Exchange Location

Gaithersburg Internet Purchase Exchange Location

With Cyber Monday, the busiest online shopping day of the year, right around the corner, the Gaithersburg Police Department reminds you that it has dedicated spaces in its Police Station parking lot at 14 Fulks Corner Avenue for residents to use when conducting in-person internet transaction exchanges. These spaces are under video surveillance at all times and are available for public use daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The police station lobby can also be used for buyer and seller transactions between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Learn more about this program and online transaction security here.

This is a City of Gaithersburg notice.

Good morning, Roy... what a cool idea! I've not heard of anything like this, but it's absolutely genius!

Kudos to the Gaithersburg police for setting up a safe place for these exchanges.

Hey, that is a great idea and definitely worthwhile.  I have not sold a lot of stuff on the internet, but I am by nature a very trusting person, so I have never really thought twice about someone I don't even know just coming over to my home and purchasing the product that I was selling.

I love that idea Roy Kelley - One of the reasons I don't sell goods. You have to guard your security.

Those internet purchase exchange locations are a brillian solution, Roy.  I'm glad Gaitersburg has one.

Very interesting Roy. With so much going on over the Internet, there is chance of abuse and scamming. Maybe the police can help with that.
