Kentlands Clubhouse

The Village at Kentlands and Lakelands in concert with the Lifelong Learning Institute at Montgomery College is hosting a two-hour session on the music of Mozart. Facilitated by Magda Melkonyan, a concert pianist, this session will focus on the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who composed more than 600 works of beauty and brilliance in just over 20 years. Participants will examine his use of pure lyricism of song with dramatic timing, depth of expression, and technical mastery of the complexities of phrase structure and harmony. Participants will discuss Mozart's impact on piano repertoire and explore compositions from different periods of his life.   Space is limited. Cost is $25.

Sounds like a great opportunity at a reasonable price, Roy.  I've been listening to my grandson play classical pieces on my pianto today.  Right along with a little Scott Joplin

Wow, over 600 pieces of music in 20 years.  My son composes classical music and I know how long it takes him and I am so proud, I wonder if he'll get to the point of composing 600 pieces?!?  Thanks for sharing this.
