Gaithersburg Hispanic Heritage Month

Gaithersburg Hispanic Heritage Month

At its meeting on September 17, 2018 the Mayor and City Council proclaimed September 15 to October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month in Gaithersburg and presented the proclamation to Gaithersburg High School Counselor Maria Garcia. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Multicultural Affairs Committee is hosting an art exhibition by The Latino Art League (TLAL) of Greater Washington DC through October 28 at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park. TLAL supports artists in the DC Latino community and builds artistic bridges with Latin American communities overseas. Meet the artists at a special reception on Thursday, September 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
