Thanks to your photo, now I do.  I don't often see hostas here, and next time I spot one I will focus on that.

These are small flowers and it is very easy to miss the details.

Sometimes when I look at flowers and their blossoms, I stand in amazement at the creativity of nature.  There's always elaborate design.

No, and I'm going to run out in the yard and see if any of ours are still blooming enough to see.  Details, details. Good eye Roy - interesting how the camera can really focus in on things the eye often misses.

We had a lot of hosta at our previous home and I don't remember ever seeing the purple lines. Now I will be looking more closely!

I will have to look them up Roy Kelley , I am not familiar with this flower.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen any hosta flowers let alone those fine purple lines.

No, I never have, Roy! WOW! Thank you for sharing this - I'm going to pay closer attention to them the next time they bloom!

I hope you and Dolores have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Roy, I guess I have never looked close enough to see the purple lines in a  hosta bloom.  I will be checking from now on, thanks to you.
