Maryland Blogger: Chef Dolores' Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Chef Dolores' Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Chef Dolores' Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Chef Dolores prepared a cauliflower crust pizza for our dinner at home. She provided these instructions:

Coat the frozen cauliflower pizza crust with pesto to the edge.

Add toppings:  Marinated artichoke hearts, Julienne cut sun dried tomatoes, halved Kalamata olives and crumbled goat cheese.

Bake in 450 degrees oven for 8 to 10 minutes or longer until the crust is golden brown.

Let the pizza rest for 2 or 3 minutes before slicing and serving.

Our wine selection was the M. Chapoutier 2016 Belleruche Rose Cotes-Du-Rhone which we found at a Total Wine store in Maryland. Enjoyed it!

Nina Hollander

Chef Dolores says there are several different brands of cauliflower pizza crust.

The one she used was from Trader Joes. Costco, Safeway and Giant have them.

Thanks much, Roy... I'll check out my Costco and Trader Joes... we don't have Safeway or  Giant in our area.

I buy the cauliflower crust pizza that they have at Costco and I like it more than regular crust pizza!

I have had gluten free crust but don't think it was made from cauliflower but it could have been.

I will definitely try this Roy. We tried to make one from scratch and it didn't turn out too well. Chef Dolores deserves props for this idea. D

Fishing in Gaithersburgfishing
Attention anglers of all ages - cast your line and try to catch (and perhaps release) fish in a local public lake or pond. With a State of Maryland non-tidal fishing license, required for those over the age of 16, you're welcome to fish at the two ponds at Bohrer Park and at Lakes Inspiration and Nirvana in the Kentlands area(note that fishing is not allowed at Lake Placid in front of the Montgomery County Services building along Rt. 28). You can also fish from shore or by boat at nearby Seneca Creek State Park. There you'll find largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, tiger muskie and crappie. Fish on!

What great news, Roy.  I have been on PALEO off and on the past two years and I never knew of the frozen cauliflower crust.  Thank you so much for your post.
