Maryland Blogger: Stargazer Oriental Lily, Lilium Oriental Hybrid, Kentlands

This Stargazer Oriental Lily was growing in the planter at the front of our home in Kentlands in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I paired this with a Pink Sapphire Oriental Lily. Our lilies have been beautiful this year. It is a shame that the blooming period is very short. The dahlias will be the next to bloom in this planter.

Yes Roy, such a pretty flower, and it's too bad that this bloom does not last long...

Good morning, Roy... gorgeous flower with stupendous coloring. It is a shame these don't grace us with their beauty for longer periods of time.

Hi there Roy - loves Stargazer lilies.  I agree with you too. The problem with lilies is that they don't last long enough. I have some blooming now - day lilies - they really are fleeting. But so pretty - for a brief moment. D

It might have a short life but with your picture it is forever.

I have several of those in my yard.  Of all flowers they are my favorite.  I love the exotic scent they provide.

It is so pretty and you are right the blooming season is short. Mine have just about stopped.
