Maryland Blogger: Meeting the Candidates at the Wine Harvest in Kentlands

Meeting the Candidates at the Wine Harvest in Kentlands

Meeting the Candidates at the Wine Harvest in Kentlands

The Maryland primary election will be held on June 26th. This is a Democratic state with a Republican governor. The Democratic ballot has so many candidates that many voters will be confused and uncertain.

Dolores and I have attended several meet and greet sessions with candidates. Recently, we were invited to meet with Rebecca Smondrowski, a candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in District 17. David Trone, a candidate for the the House of Representatives in District 6 was a special guest. It was good to meet with them. In case you do not recognize the name David Trone, he is one the founders of Total Wine which is based in Maryland.

This event was held at the Wine Harvest in Kentlands, a popular local business. The sponsors provided wine and beer tickets for the attendees.

I keep forgetting that not all states hold their primaries on the same date.  We had our primary here in California last week.

That would be unfair for me to meet a candidate offering wine.

Good morning Roy.  I hope that all voters will educate themselves about the issues we face and vote appropriately.

All Season at Fulks Corner Market
Deer Run Farm is a small farm in Frederick County, Maryland that specializes in Registered Red Angus and Heritage Breed Chickens.
Deer Run Farm was established in 1996 when Ronald and Annie Stewart purchased a farm in northern Frederick County Maryland. The farm started off as "multi-purpose" in the early 1900s and transitioned throughout the years from dairy, to housing dairy heifers, to a horse farm, and now to its current use: crop and beef cattle.
All of Deer Run's meats are 100% Red Angus beef from cattle born and raised on their farm.   Their beef is processed at a USDA inspected facility and individually labeled and dressed in white freezer paper.

Stop by and pick up a few steaks for Father's Day this Thursday from 12:30-6 at the Fulks Corner market.  The Market is located at the corner of Route 355 and Fulks Corner Avenue in Olde Towne and runs from May 4th through November 16th!
