Wild Mushroom Sandwich Melts

Chef Dolores does spoil me with gourmet meals. For our lunch at home, she made wild mushroom sandwich melts. She toasted slices of Dave's Killer Whole Grain Bread, topped the bread slices with wild mushroom deli slices from Field Roast Grain Meat Co. and topped the open faces with Gruyere cheese. She then heated the sandwiches in the oven to melt the cheese. Delicious.

Our beverage was iced tea but a nice glass of wine would have been even better!

Sounds delicious, Roy, even if I don't eat sandwiches very often... as I try to stay away from bread. This recipe could really tempt me.

That sounds really good since my wife and I are primarily plant based eaters. I did try the impossible burger that is plant based at a place in San Francisco. It tasted like a regular hamburger.

Oh, this is something I could sink my teeth into, Roy! I am mad about mushrooms and have never tried this brand before. I will definitely scope these slices out - your food recommendations have never let me down!
