Save It or Shred It: A Simple Toolkit to Organize Life

Village at Kentlands & Lakelands is a pilot program focused on the needs of residents who are 55 or older and those with a disability regardless of age. This program is sponsored by the Kentlands Community Foundation.

Dolores  and I attended a presentation by Kay Bransford, an organizational expert and author of “MemoryBanc: Your Workbook for Organizing Life,” who was the speaker in  an hour-long presentation discussing simple ways to organize important personal documents, accounts, and other details so that all are easily searchable and accessible when needed. She  also made recommendations on which documents need to be saved and which can be tossed and on the essential estate planning documents every adult should have regardless of age. Based on the reactions of the audience, this was a well received program.

Good morning Roy - I can see why it is well received.  There are so many items and paper and organizing it makes you feel more comfortable and secure.

Good morning Roy.  I think my household could use a seminar like this.

Good morning Roy. I would attend a seminar like this if it were offered in my area. Very helpful! Enjoy your day!

If it were held in Bucks county I would have attended. I hope you will write a post on what you learned

Hi Roy, what a helpful seminar. I think when we are organized, life feels much more relaxed and grounded. At least that is the way it works for me. D

Hi Roy... my experience is that people typically save way, way more paperwork than they need. I know people who still have every utility bill saved going back 25 years (and they haven't lived in the the same place or state for all those years).

Warm Up the Grill After a Trip to The Main Street Farmers & Artists Market
It's grilling time at The Main Street Farmers and Artists  Market! Everyone is getting their aprons on and their barbecue spatulas out. The market is filled with tons of great options for your barbecue: sausages from Stone Feather Farm, whole portobello mushroomss from Homestead Farm, veggie packets made with fresh vegetables from Pheasant Hill Farm, all seasoned with herbs from Tuckey's Fruit and Vegetable Farm.   If you don't feel like cooking, pick up some BBQ from Seneca Smokehouse and take home a ready-cooked meal.  There is no limit to what one can find when roaming the market in search of grilling options.   The Main Street Farmers and Artists Market is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the Main Street Pavilion.

It is time to go through the papers again and clean out. With cloud storage we need to keep much less.
