Kentlands Under the Lights, June 16, 2018

Kentlands Under the Lights, June 16, 2018

The annual Kentlands Under the Lights event is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Market Square in Kentlands. The following announcement was provided the Kentlands Citizens Assembly.

Kentlands Under the Lights Delights!
Kentlands Under the Lights returns to Market Square on June 16th, 2018 beginning 6:00 p.m. and running until the lights go out at 11:00 p.m. Plans to make this summer's Kentlands Under the Lights the best yet began when we were still wearing gloves and scarves, and last-minute preparations are underway. This free event is perfect for families, couples or singles -- with something for everyone.
Whether you have never attended or have come every year, this year is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Market Street West and Market Street East will be closed for the night. We will light up the square with hundreds of lights and fill it with dining tables to create an evening filled with music, food, conversation and community. We are excited to feature a new layout this year showcasing a beer garden sponsored by The Wine Harvest, and music by our very popular local band Donuts for Dinner.

One of my favorite flowers, the iris, Roy... and your photo is lovely. I love any events that feature lots of lights... probably one reason I love the Christmas season so much.

Oh the true signs of summer, the pools have reopened, local farmer markets have returned, out door movie nights are in full swing and now residents of Kentland have something else  to enjoy.  Kentland Under The lights ...  Sounds like a fun filled night for all to enjoy.

The DC area gas price average reached $3.058 on Thursday, which is 21 cents more than last month. It's also a striking difference from $2.499 last year. The average price in Virginia is a little better at $2.754.
