If you follow my blog posts, you know that my hobby is flower photography and that I use my photographs in most of my posts. I also post some of my photographs in a number of Facebook groups. If you have an interest in photography, you may wish to consider joining Photographer of the World, a Facebook group with over 85,400 members. Yes, some of the Facebook groups have a large number of members. Click on the link to reach this group. Keep in mind that many Facebook groups are based in other countries.

Facebook has many wonderful groups to suit the needs and personality of people.  I started one that features genealogy for my family.  It's wonderful to be able to share pictures and family ties there.

Green Month & Arbor Day Proclamationsarbor
At its April 16 regular meeting, the Mayor and City Council will designate April as "Gaithersburg Green Month" and May 16 as "Arbor Day" in the City of Gaithersburg. Celebrate and improve the environment all month long with various activities happening throughout the City. Make a difference by cleaning up and beautifying local streams, parks, and HOA common areas during Community Green Up Day on April 14 from 9 a.m. to noon. Attend a special free screening of A Plastic Ocean, a feature-length documentary film that brings to light the consequences of disposable plastic use, on April 22 at 7 p.m. at the Arts Barn. Latitude Observatory Volunteer Trainingobservatory
The Gaithersburg Latitude Observatory is an important part of the City's history. Observatory Park celebrates that history and tells the story of the stargazing work that went on there for nearly a century, helping with global latitude measurements. The Community Museum is seeking volunteers to staff events that are held at the Observatory throughout the year.
