Scholarships for Gaithersburg High School Seniors

High school seniors who are City of Gaithersburg residents are invited to apply for an Edward Bohrer, Jr. CHARACTER COUNTS! Scholarship. Awards are based on the student's embodiment of the Six Pillars of Character, personal merit, financial need, and a commitment to further education.

Since the program's inception in 1998, 95 high school seniors have received more than $160,000 to help with their continuing education costs. Applications are due April 20. Individuals, businesses and organizations are also invited to acknowledge and support the character development of our young people by making a contribution to this fund. Click here for details.

What a wonderful program and way to future higher education. It is getting so very expensive.
