Maryland Blogger: Does your voice mail greeting need a spring update?

Does your voice mail greeting need a spring update?

During a normal business day, we listen to a lot of voice mail greetings as we wait to leave our own messages. Some of those greetings fail to make a very good impression. You have to wonder about the reactions of prospects and clients.

Spring has arrived and spring cleaning is on our minds. It may be a good time to record a fresh voice mail greeting for your phones. The first impression that you create for others may be your voice mail greeting.

I just polished mine up about three months ago. Maybe I can make it last another three.

That's a good idea. It never hurts to change it up a bit. Thanks Roy. D

Roy- an excellent reminder!!! In fact, I'll bet many (including myself) haven't listened to their outgoing message in a while.

Roy, I was just thinking about that today when I heard two refreshing voice mail greetings.  Yep, time to do a little Spring Cleaning...Put the Christmas Cactus and Poinsettias aside and bring in the Lilacs, Daffodils, and Lilies of the Field.

Good idea, Roy.  If I could only change my voice.  That would help make my greeting better.

Great advice my friend, I don't think I have updated my voicemail greeting in a long time, so I should look into doing this.

Hello Roy, I think I need to do this and put some spring in voice plus on my videos,  (Still trying to get better at them).

Good morning Roy Kelley,

What a great tip! I called my hairdresser to reschedule an appointment and their greeting still l said they were celebrating this January their 30 years in business!

Good morning Roy. You are absolutely right, spring or not. Listen to your own message and see how you feel.

Can't believe I missed this post a couple of weeks ago, Roy. Great suggestion... I am always "greeting" by messages that our totally out of date.

Hi Roy - this is good advice and one that should periodically be "addressed".
