Maryland Blogger: Are you a plogger?

Are you a plogger?

Are you a plogger?

There was an interesting article by Allison Klein in the Health & Science section of The Washington Post about a new fitness craze that is called plogging. Joggers and walkers are taking a trash bag and some gardening gloves along their regular routes and are picking up the trash along the way.

Click here to read the article and learn about the origin of the word 'plogging'.

Many communities have spring clean up programs that encourage participation by residents. You can the the one to begin a plogging program in your area. Your efforts will inspire others to help.

Sounds like a wonderful idea that should catch on as a national past time...!

This is a new one on me, Roy.  It sounds like a great idea.  Count me in on plogging.

Can't say I'm a plogger, Roy.... then again where you'll find me on Charlotte streets, it's very clean. In fact that is one of the things visitors remark on frequently... how clean Charlotte is in addition to being lush and green.

Ploggying is an excellent idea! I am seeing more trash along the highways and I find it very disturbing. I can't help wonder if that government program has been cut.

Roy: I am not but I should be a plogger. Hopefully this will pickup steam and become a national trend.

Roy, that is a very good idea for those taking regular walks.  I should get on this too.

I guess I was a plogger when plogging wasn't cool. Ha. It's very difficult to pass by trash on a trail - just can't ignore it - imagine if we all stopped to pick up litter when we saw it - and we all should. D

Thank you for the new conceptual idea (to me) Roy Kelley . I guess you could say that I am a "Plogger Blogger" as I pick up things I find along the way in the world of real estate and "redistribute" them in blogs
