You are invited to join the Montgomery County, Maryland and Gaithersburg Police Departments for Coffee with a Cop at the Downtown Crown Starbucks at 307 Copley Place on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. 

This is an informal gathering that provides and opportunity to discuss community concerns and to chat with our local police officers.

I like this.  More and more communities are embracing this concept.  When I was a teen in Minnesota, our home was accross the street from the chief of police.  We saw him as approachable, caring and fair.  I think the image today of cops should be that once again.  A

Sounds like a great way to reach out to the community.  I think a lot of people have questions they'd like to ask the police, but don't feel comforable approaching them when they are on duty.  Thanks Roy Kelley
