Maryland Blogger: Green Beer for St. Patrick's Day

Green Beer for St. Patrick's Day

Green Beer for St. Patrick's Day

You may wish to serve some green beer as you celebrate St. Patrick's Day. AARP Magazine recommends the use of matcha powder for the coloring. Yes, matcha powder is green tea. Use 1/3 teaspoon of the anti-oxidant-rich green powder in a glass, stir in a little water, and add the beer.

Chef Dolores advised me that matcha powder is available from The Republic of Tea

Hi Roy.  Sounds like a much healthier alternative than food coloring.
