The Sports Authority Store in Gaithersburg to Close

 

The Sports Authority has filed for bankruptcy and has announced that they will close 140 of their 450 stores. The store in Gaithersburg at 110 Odendhal Avenue is included on the list of stores to be closed.

Roy, We have Sports Authority here and there is tough competition in this market. Sorry to hear thi store is closing.

We don't have a Sports Authority store here, but there is one in Roanoke VA.  Sorry to hear this about the store.

I wonder what they did wrong to have to close so many stores. I wonder if the one in Montrose will close. I will know soon enough. I'll be heading down that way the middle of this coming week.

We have one here in the same shopping center as Costco.  The merchandise is cheap looking and badly made, and the store looked dirty and the stuff had a PhD in apathy.  We could not wait to get out of there.   Perhaps, they knew what was coming!  It is sad that their people are going to lose jobs.  A
