Need help with plant identification?

If you follow my blogs, you know that I enjoy photographing flowers and plants and usually include one of my photographs when posting a blog. Often, I am uncertain as the identification of the subjects of my photographs.

My primary source for identification assistance is a friendly Facebook group. Plant Ident 101. There are more advanced Facebook groups for plant identification but this is the one for many of us.

That's a good resource, Roy!  I've been trying to identify what my neighbor's tree is.  The foliage and dark purple (almost black) berries on it look a lot like a Bay Laurel tree.  But, I don't know for certain.  It has leaves year round!

Roy, I never know the name of plants, unless they are very common, and this would be a great help!

It is sometimes a good practice to revisit old blogs and reblogs. We might even find some good ideas for current posts.
