Maryland Blogger: 'Pedophile Alert' Email is a Scam

'Pedophile Alert' Email is a Scam

'Pedophile Alert' Email is a Scam

Some area residents have received an email saying a sex offender may be in the area and provides a link to learn who the offenders are and where they live. This email is a scam to infect computers and find credit card and password information.

Consumers need to be alert and avoid using links from unconfirmed sources.

There seems no end to the scams that find their way to our emails, or onto malicious websites.
