Maryland Blogger: Vacant Home in Kentlands

Vacant Home in Kentlands

Vacant Home in Kentlands

During a New Year's Day photowalk through Kentlands, our home community in Gaithersburg, Maryland, I photographed this vacant home. It appears that the occupants have gone south for the winter.

Enjoy your wintertime photowalks. You never know what you might discover.

Hi Roy.  Are you sure it's vacant?  The occupants may just be on vacation.

Roy, even the birds like warm weather.  Great photo, and wonder where they go?

The home has seen better days but what a beautiful pic with the berries. I should have joined them to head South Roy Kelley

Snowbirds eh? I love the birdhouse, and the title. Ha. This is very sweet, bet they are in Florida. ;)

We have very cold weather in Maryland. We should also be visiting in the south!

Roy,

This shot took my breath away.  It says so much, and I love how the berries have stained the wood.  What a great title!  A

Good Day Roy Kelley - what a perfect photo and story too! Even the worn out paint dripped south in this photograph! Yet the berries keep on, keeping on, despite vacancy. This is more than just a photograph, it's a conversation piece and good reflection on life too!

You have such a way with the camera that speaks to me. Never put down your camera - you inspire others!

It is sometimes a good idea to revisit old blogs and reblogs. We might even find some good ideas for current posts.
