When you visit Washington, DC, you should plan to allocate time to visit the National Zoo. Actually, you should plan to spend most of a day at the National Zoo. Yes, you will want to have your camera in hand. Admission is free but you will have to pay for parking if you are not a member of FONZ (Friends of the National Zoo).

Roy: That tiger looks none-to-happy to get its photo snapped. It must not be a morning cat. ;-)

Funny you should mention, Roy, as I was thinking about going to a zoo recently. It has been years since I took all my 9 children to the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. We did have a great time. It was very relaxing and much, much fun!

I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Dolores and I took a Saturday day trip to Westminster, Maryland and returned in time to attend the Kentlands/Lakelands wine and beer tasting event on Saturday night. Life is good!
