Have you read the Danger Report?
“The real estate industry is saddled with a large number of part-time, untrained, unethical and/or incompetent agents. This knowledge gap threatens the credibility of the industry.” Ouch! – Kenneth R. Harney, The Nation’s Housing

Realtors issue a blunt assessment of problems facing their business
This should be required reading for real estate professionals. Many bloggers have complained about the conditions they face on a daily basis. This survey provides a blunt assessment of the problems facing the industry.
"The 160-page study — known as the DANGER report (www.dangerreport.com), or the Definitive Analysis of Negative Game Changers Emerging in Real Estate — was commissioned by NAR’s “strategic thinking advisory committee” and authored by industry consultant Stefan Swanepoel of the Swanepoel /T3 Group. It is based on a survey of 7,899 Realtors and interviews with 74 top realty chief executives, plus additional research. Other problem areas it details concern multiple listing services, state Realtor associations and NAR itself."
Subhash Sharma These blue and bright Spiderworts (Tradescantia virginiana) come from a small family of about 75 plants native to the New World from southern Canada south to northern Argentina including the West Indies. They were introduced into Europe as ornamental plants in the seventeenth century and are now grown as such in many parts of the world. Subsequently some species have become naturalized in various regions of Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and assorted oceanic islands.

Oh wow Roy Kelley . That was an eye opener . Taking classes is always important to further education as well as staying on top of new laws etc.
Roy- I'm definitely going to read this. Hope you and Dolores are having a great weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a nice evening.

Great post Roy Kelley ....I will read this one for sure ....Thanks as always for providing all of us with great info!
This has always been the case, part timers make one no less or no more a professional. News is news and a lot is made up the worse one makes it the better it sells. Wonder why no one believes the news anymore.
I downloaded it a few weeks ago and read bits of it but have yet to dedicate any time to it.
Roy

I have read parts of it but need to finish reading it.
Thank you very much for your comments. Have a great Sunday and an outstanding week.
You bet - and was surprised to see how many "ostriches" out there adopted the position that it wasn't true - and even if it was - it wasn't relevant. Time will tell.
Thanks, again, for your comments. Enjoy the weekend.
I haven't read it yet Roy, but I will! The industry has undergone so many major changes since I was first licensed in 1981.
We have the coldest morning of the season in Montgomery County, Maryland. It is definitely time to get out the sweaters.
Well, I agree on the part that some agents would need to use more training.
We have a chilly Monday morning in Maryland. We have not yet had the hard frost that will end the season for our still blooming dahlias.
Have an outstanding week.
