Orangutans at the National Zoo in Washington, DC
When you visit the National Zoo in Washington, DC, you will see double cables, about forty feet up, running from tower to tower. If your timing is good, you might see the Orangutans on those cables. It is fun to watch them and you will want to have your camera in hand.
The National Zoo is very large and there is much to see and do. Try to make it a day trip. Dolores and I like to go in the morning, take a break for lunch, and then continue until we are tired are ready to get off our feet.
