Brookside Gardens, A Good Place To Visit On A Winter Day
We have a cloudy day and snow is predicted in Montgomery County, Maryland this afternoon and evening. The afternoon rush hour could be a mess for those heading north and west from the Washington, DC area.
It is a good time to turn our thoughts to beautiful flowers. One of our favorite local places to visit is Brookside Gardens which is located in the Wheaton Regional Park in Montgomery County. Currently, the annual Spring Exhibit is featured in the Conservatory. This is one of the good places to visit on a chilly day.
Be sure to have your camera in hand to capture those special moments when you are out and about in your community or in your travels.

Beautiful Roy as always. I had to check out the first photo three times. Something about it I really like! Hope you and Dolores have a great day in all you do!
Great shots Roy. Were those plantains in the first photo?
The last one is really eye catching.
Roy,
Your photo blogs are a sweet respite I say
Good Wednesday morning to all. Taking photographs is a good way to get away the problems of the day and everybody loves to see photographs in blog posts.
Another set of fine photographs Roy! Your work is quite noteworthy. Always a pleasure to view!
Roy,
Its photos like these that reminds us that we can visit our local Botanic Gardens year round. Thanks ..
Roy I am in the process of writing a post about touring the USA on AR - your photographic skills are one part of it
Roy,
I think my favorite photo is photo #3; I really do like it! I hope you are staying warm! Take care and have a great day!
Thank you very much for your comments. Wintertime is a great time to visit the conservatories in botanical gardens.
As always beautiful photos! It's always a treat to stop by and get a peak at the spring colors in your photos on dreary winter days like today.
Roy, That really doesn't look much like winter! Great photos! Have a great Wednesday!
Hi Roy,
I really like your flower pictures from Brookside Gardens.
Roy...you wouldn't even know it's winter time in MD looking at these photos. Have a wonderful day.
It's ironic to think that we are in the middle of winter and the Easter seaboard is blooming and Europe is in a deep freeze.
You'll have to give us an update when the plantain stalk begin to ripen. All your photos are picture perfect.

It seems that Brookside Gardens is a great escape from the winter time blues. I will have to check it out when we get to Maryland. My brother in law lives near the gardens. Maybe he will take me there.
It's snowing again tonight, and I'm not complaining about that. We need the snow in the high country so we have the irrigation water in the spring to keep our gardens blooming. I'm busy going through the gardening catalogs and getting ready to order seeds for this year's veggie garden.
Good Thursday morning to all. It is always good to hear from you.
Be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments in your community or during your travels.
