Preparing the Front of Your Home For Sale
You have heard that the first impression is the most important impression? It is absolutely true! I have been out with clients ,showing them homes , which we scheduled from viewing pictures on the computer. Pictures can be deceiving though. When we got to a particular home they didn't even want to go in.....the first impression was not good !
If you are considering putting your home on the market make the first impression a good one!
Entice the buyer to want to see more of your home!
These are a few things that are easy and affordable to do:
- Plant colorful flowers near the front door or in pots
- Clean all the windows
- Brush all cobwebs off
- Add fresh mulch in front
- Mow and edge
- Paint the front door
- Add new hardware to front door
- Hang a flag
- Put up a new mailbox
- Put new shiny house numbers on
- Pull all weeds
- Paint any chipped wood or siding
- Glass doors must be shiny
- Place an air freshener by the front door.
Buyers buy by sight and smell so take a few days to prepare your, home making buyers hungry for more!
