African American History Month Essay Contest

African American History Month Essay Contest in Gaithersburg

 

In celebration of African American History Month, the City of Gaithersburg Multicultural Affairs and Educational Enrichment Committees are hosting an essay contest for students in grades 3 - 5 that asks students to "Tell us about an African American who inspires you and why."

The deadline for submission is Friday, January 29. Click here for complete rules and submission requirements. Winners will read their essays and receive awards at a special reception at the Activity Center at Bohrer  Park on Monday, February 22 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend. 

This is a City of Gaithersburg announcement.
